7. What is needed

Medical Camps India is a successful and cost-efficient way to offer medical care to an area that needs it very badly. With the money the foundation receives from sponsors, they can ease suffering and save lives in India. To be able to continue, the foundation needs money for, among other expenses, medication (five hundred euros per month) and the salaries of the medical staff (seven hundred euros per month). In total, the foundation needs 2,370 euros per month for the program. This goes to helping an average of four thousand patients each month, which comes down to improving and saving lives for less than one euro per patient.

Help offered:
  • A professional team consisting of a doctor, a nurse, a pharmacist and volunteers makes weekly visits to these villages.
  • About 200 patients receive medical treatment every day.
  • Education, medication, wound dressing, eye treatments and other necessary care is given during these camp days.
